STAR GAZING CONTINUES!...

This time last year Elliot Payne/Patrick Walsh (Fiesta Rally2) had already secured the Fuchs Lubricants BTRDA Gold Star® Championship title – in Payne’s case for a record-breaking third consecutive time. As the Protyre Autocare BTRDA Rally Series heads to Llandudno on 25th October for the Lewis & Hunter Cambrian Rally, no such conclusions have been reached in the Gold, Silver or Bronze Stars and the battle is still very much ongoing! Indeed, for the first time for a number of years, the Cambrian is not the final encounter in the BTRDA Rally Series – that honour falls to the Grizedale Stages in early December – and, so, the North Wales forests will bear witness to the latest chapter in the quest for stardom – literally!

All roads lead to Wales for final Stellantis Cup Shoot-out

The winner takes all battle - the 2025 Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup IRE & UK champion will be crowned at the Cambrian Rally - the final round of the season. It’s all in the hands of Kyle McBride and Joseph Kelly, who are set to go head-to-head on the classic Welsh forestry stages for one of the biggest prizes in British and Irish motorsport. As well as the Cup victory, the event also hosts the Probite British Rally Championship, with both Peugeot 208 Rally4 drivers seeking the Junior BRC title to complement the cup.

BRC title race goes down to the wire in Wales

The stage is set for a breathtaking conclusion to the Probite British Rally Championship, as the Visit Conwy Cambrian Rally [25 October] brings the 2025 season to a dramatic close on the world-famous gravel stages of North Wales. After a season that has taken crews from the closed roads of the Scottish borders to the ultra-fast forests of Kielder forest, the fight for the coveted British title will be decided on the same legendary roads that once formed the backbone of Wales Rally GB. And the stakes couldn’t be higher.

The Cambrian Rally organising team are delighted to welcome new headline sponsorship this year from Lewis & Hunter Contracting Ltd which specialises in all aspects of road surfacing and ancillary civil engineering projects. Director, Hugh Hunter is a rally competitor who is a long time supporter of the event. Cambrian Rally media officer, Judith Phillips chatted to him about his involvement in the sport.

70th Anniversary Celebrations

North Wales Car Club Ltd will be holding an evening to celebrate 70 years of the Cambrian Rally, the longest running rally in the UK without having a break! The event will be held at the St George Hotel, Llandudno on Friday 14th November 2025, with a buffet. Meet at 7pm, where the Host will be Howard Davies and we hope that all can share their memories of this great event.
