McBride masterminds Cup Final victory in Wales

After an enthralling eight-round season on some of the best asphalt and gravel stages across Ireland and the United Kingdom, Kyle McBride and co-driver Darragh Mullen were crowned 2025 Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup IRE & UK champions after a winner takes all final showdown on the Cambrian Rally in Wales. The Stellantis Cup contest organised and promoted by Race & Rally, Michelin Motorsport, Protyre Motorsport Ireland and LP Tents for cars from automotive giant Stellantis, concluded its second season and yet again produced a gripping Cup competition. With five different drivers standing on the podium across the dual surface campaign - two drivers stood out among the rest. Kyle McBride and Joe Kelly.

Max McRae wins Cambrian and his first BRC event

Max McRae won his very first British Rally Championship event – becoming the fourth McRae to do so – as William Creighton claimed the 2025 title at the Cambrian Rally. Driving a Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 for the first time on gravel, 21-year-old McRae was quickest on the opening stage to establish a strong 8.7-second lead at first service.

Creighton claims British Rally Championship crown; McRae secures Cambrian win

William Creighton and Liam Regan added the Probite British Rally Championship to their impressive list of titles, claiming the coveted crown at the Lewis and Hunter Cambrian Rally [25 October] after a tense final-round battle on the world-famous gravel stages of North Wales. It was Max McRae who claimed the rally win in spectacular fashion, adding the family name to the top step of a British Rally Championship event for the first time in 27 years, making it three generations of the family to claim the BRC spoils after grandfather Jimmy and dad Alister.

PIRELLI WELSH CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE RACE MOVES TO NORTH WALES

The Lewis and Hunter Cambrian Rally on Saturday October 25 marks round five out of six in this year's Motorsport UK Pirelli Welsh Rally Championship and there is absolutely everything still to play for in the title race. Like many championships, the PWRC got off to a delayed start when the planned opening two rounds were lost to the damage caused in the Welsh forests by last winter’s storms. However, that prompted a rare away day when the championship went to Kielder for its opening round on the Carlisle Stages in April....

STAR GAZING CONTINUES!...

This time last year Elliot Payne/Patrick Walsh (Fiesta Rally2) had already secured the Fuchs Lubricants BTRDA Gold Star® Championship title – in Payne’s case for a record-breaking third consecutive time. As the Protyre Autocare BTRDA Rally Series heads to Llandudno on 25th October for the Lewis & Hunter Cambrian Rally, no such conclusions have been reached in the Gold, Silver or Bronze Stars and the battle is still very much ongoing! Indeed, for the first time for a number of years, the Cambrian is not the final encounter in the BTRDA Rally Series – that honour falls to the Grizedale Stages in early December – and, so, the North Wales forests will bear witness to the latest chapter in the quest for stardom – literally!

All roads lead to Wales for final Stellantis Cup Shoot-out

The winner takes all battle - the 2025 Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup IRE & UK champion will be crowned at the Cambrian Rally - the final round of the season. It’s all in the hands of Kyle McBride and Joseph Kelly, who are set to go head-to-head on the classic Welsh forestry stages for one of the biggest prizes in British and Irish motorsport. As well as the Cup victory, the event also hosts the Probite British Rally Championship, with both Peugeot 208 Rally4 drivers seeking the Junior BRC title to complement the cup.

ITV4 set to screen Probite British Rally Championship in 2025

The Probite British Rally Championship [BRC] will return to free-to-air terrestrial television in 2025 after signing a multi-year deal with ITV4 and ITVX to broadcast the six-round series across the UK and the Republic of Ireland. An enhanced media package for the UK’s premier rally championship will include a dedicated one-hour highlights show on ITV4 after each round of the series to be broadcast at prime time with further repeat broadcasts and an end of season round-up programme.
