RALLY BOOSTS SCHOOL FUNDS

Posted on February 24, 2025

A RURAL primary school has received a funding boost after volunteers from its Parents and Teachers Association gave up a Saturday to run car parks at a major motor rally.

They looked after two busy car parks near Ysgol Cerrigydrudion during the Cambrian Rally organised by North Wales Car Club last October, and as a thank you from the car club they have received a cheque for a share of the takings totalling £4,732.

Roger Evans, car parks manager for the rally said: “We are very grateful to the school volunteers who gave up many hours of their time on a Saturday to look after two of the event’s car parks. Our special thanks go to Alun Jones who organised the effort on behalf of the PTA.”
