Cambrian Rally

New Team Members for 2025

Posted on July 14, 2025

The Cambrian Rally is proud to announce a refreshed leadership team bringing together decades of experience, passion, and dedication to motorsport. As preparations ramp up for this year’s event, we’re excited to introduce the key figures steering the rally forward — each bringing their own unique background, skillset, and rallying spirit.

Wenna Roberts – Clerk of the Course (The Boss)

With a rallying career that began in 2004, Wenna is no stranger to both sides of the stopwatch. A former five-time ANWCC Ladies Champion, she’s navigated and driven her way through countless road and stage events. As a long-standing member and Treasurer of Harlech & District Motor Club, Wenna’s contributions to the sport include organising navigational scatters, PCA, road rallies, and stage events.

Her extensive Motorsport UK credentials include Clerk of the Course, Safety Car, Safeguarding, and Trainee Timekeeper licenses — and she’s also Chief Marshal for this year’s Rali Bae Ceredigion. Outside the rally world, Wenna is a committed football mum, a snooker fan, and proud to work with Rally4Wales. As she puts it: “I genuinely love my job — not many people can say that!”

Pat Marchbank – Deputy Clerk of the Course

A seasoned rally organiser since the 1980s, Pat has held nearly every role imaginable — from Event Secretary to Safeguarding Officer, Results Coordinator, and Marketing Lead. She’s served as Clerk and Deputy Clerk of the Course on multiple events and spent six years contributing to the Motorsport UK (formerly MSA) Rallies Committee.

Pat also has rallying roots as a competitor, having driven in both Road and Stage events. When she’s not knee-deep in rally logistics, you’ll likely find her cooking up a storm, relaxing with loved ones in her motorhome — or indulging her surprising fondness for “paperwork”!

Peredur Davies – Assistant Clerk of the Course

Peredur brings a vast range of experience from years of volunteering, marshalling, and organising — including stints as Chief Marshal and Clerk of the Course on various events. As a current co-driver, he’s competed alongside well-known names such as Gwyndaf Evans, Callum Black, and Nick Elliott, with highlights including a class win on the British Rally Championship and an entry in Wales Rally GB 2018.

When not in the co-driver’s seat — or occasionally piloting his Peugeot 208 R2 — you’ll find him playing cornet with the Royal Oakeley Silver Band in Blaenau Ffestiniog or operating a power station… a mile underground!

Debby Goodband – Chief Marshal

Debby’s motorsport journey began humbly as “Tea Maker”, before taking the wheel herself in a wide range of events including Forest, Single Venue, Targa and Regularity rallies. Her attempt at navigating lasted only two events before motion sickness sent her in another direction — straight into the driver’s seat of a Mk II Escort, where her love of rallying truly took hold.

Now Chief Marshal, Debby brings her signature energy, experience and humour to the Cambrian team — proving that from tea tray to rally stage, there’s no such thing as a small role in motorsport
