Three Castle Classic

Llandudno

On at: 07:00 June 03, 2015 - 17:00 June 06, 2015

The Three Castles Welsh Classic Trial is a classic car event in the grand tradition that's three events in one - Concours, Regularity Rally, Driving Tests. Returning each night to Llandudno, it runs through the ancient landscapes of Anglesey, Gwynedd and Clwyd in North West Wales on the first weekend of summer.

The theme is 'relaxed competition'. Run under MSA regulations, this is a competitive classic road rally, not a tour, but it's one that should be approached in the right spirit. We're not trying to get crews lost, or to catch them out. We don't want people speeding on the highway. Rather, we want this to be an event that is a celebration of the classic car: an ambassador for its sport that is encouraged and welcomed by the populations of the villages and hamlets it passes through.

Help is required in various locations around north Wales - but NWCC running Orme on Saturday (see below). Contact Chief Marshal Shôn Gosling swg@gosling96.fsnet.co.uk if you can help in any way - marshals/timekeepers required on tests and regularity sections.

June 6 (Saturday) - Three Castles on the Orme - tests being run first and last, so early start on the Orme. Morning two tests, first starting at the summit and down to the Church. Second from the Church and finishing at the Toll Gate. Afternoon start at Rest and Be Thankful and finishes at Half-way Station. Marshals and radio personnel required. Simon Cotton and Neil Coulson in charge.
